The North Central Lawn Tennis Association will commence competition for 2010/11 on Saturday 9th October 2010 and will enjoy an extended season, culminating with the Grand Final on Saturday April 2nd, due to Easter being much later in 2011.

 

Teams do have two byes during the season which have been allocated to coincide with local community events and a break over the January holidays.

 

The Birchip club is in office this season and Fiona Best is president of the association, Simone Christie, secretary/score secretary and Wendy Laffin from Charlton is continuing in her role as treasurer/publicity officer. Score sheets will need to be scanned and emailed to Simone or faxed to 54922863 on Sunday or before 9am on Monday morning at the latest to ensure that results meet printing deadlines.

 

The Charlton and Birchip clubs have gone back to one team this season, but the majority of clubs are committed to fielding teams of eight men and eight women which they hope will ensure that everyone who wnts a game of tennis during the season will get a good hit out. Once again there is a mix of normal rounds, teams tournaments and round robins and the usual club tournaments on Australia Day, Labour Day and Easter weekend, which members are encouraged to support as these are major fundraisers for their respective clubs.
